7.5 hours per week Mon-Fri, term time 38 weeks per year.

We are looking to recruit enthusiastic, motivated and committed individuals to be responsible for pupils’ welfare, safety and supervision during the lunch break. 

 

The roles will be based at one of Compass Academy Trust’s family of schools (Unicorn, Oak Lodge, Marian Vian, Wickham Common) which are all within the London Borough of Bromley in the BR3 and BR4 postal districts.

 

Grade:             Grade BR3       Point: 9 – 11

Salary:             Actual: £3,529 pa (FTE £20,297)

Hours:              7.5 hours per week - Monday to Friday

         (Hours to be agreed but typically 12.00-1.30pm)

Contract:         Permanent, term time only (38 weeks per year)

 

The successful applicants will:

 

  • Work well within a small team

  • Be organised, flexible, able to work independently and calmly
  • Behave in a warm, yet professional manner towards colleagues, pupils and visitors at all times, and contribute to the positive ethos of the schools and the Trust
  • Be prepared to work outside in a variety of weather conditions

 

Key Responsibilities will include:

 

  • Supervising pupils in the lunch hall, on the playground and in the classroom to ensure their safety and wellbeing
  • Overseeing play based activities
  • Promoting good manners and appropriate behaviour
  • Supporting and encouraging pupils’ social interaction
  • Undertaking first aid as necessary in accordance with health and safety guidelines

Hours:                         Monday – Friday 30 hours per week, 8.30am-3.30pm (with 1 hour unpaid lunch)

Weeks per year         39 weeks per year (term time plus inset days)

An exciting opportunity exists for enthusiastic and motivated individuals to join the Teaching support team at Unicorn Primary School.  The Teaching Assistant will have the primary role of supporting a child/ren with additional needs on a one-to-one basis. The children have differing needs and require support either in the morning, at lunch or in the afternoon.

 

 

Hours:                         We envisage the hours being full time (or possibly 2 part time positions making up a full time role) term time between 31.75 hours per week.

Grade                          BR4 Point 11 Full Time Equivalent £20,875*.  Actual Annual Salary based on 31.75 hours per week: £15,771 *Salary pro rata according to contracted hours

                                       Contract:                     Fixed Term until 31 August 2022

Primary Location:        Unicorn Primary School, Creswell Drive, Off South Eden Park, Beckenham, BR3 3AL

 

The successful applicant will:

 

  • Have experience of working with children across the primary phase
  • Be fully committed to the role of working with a child with additional needs on a 1:1 basis.
  • Ideally have experience of supporting a child using Applied Behaviour Analysis or be willing to undertake relevant training.
  • Have the skills to support the learning, social interaction and welfare of individual pupils with a range of needs.
  • Support the class teacher to provide the best opportunities and outcomes for the child
  • Be motivated, flexible and understanding
  • Have a willingness and enthusiasm to develop new skills
